Portland Matcha Review - Project Matcha!

Today, I visited Project Matcha in Portland with a friend 🌿. As soon as we walked in, we saw a small line, but the wait was worth it! The shop specializes in hand-whisked matcha, giving off a serious matcha vibe 😊. We ordered two drinks: I got the Double Matcha, while my friend tried the banana cream hojicha latte 🍌. In total, we sampled three beverages. Overall, the hojicha latte stood out more than the matcha drinks! It had a rich roasted tea flavor and was smooth and comforting ❤️. As for the matcha drinks, the best part was that they weren’t bitter and didn’t leave a dry mouthfeel—very gentle on the palate 👍. The banana cream topping was also amazing, creamy and sweet! However, matcha’s delicate taste can easily be overwhelmed when too many ingredients are added, which was a bit of a shame 😅. If you’re a matcha lover, this place is still worth a visit!
