Portland Weekend Eatery Hunt! Such a Pleasant Surprise š„³
I saved this spot before, and since I was nearby, I decided to give it a try! No reservation + it was the weekend, so we sat outside. There was a covered, heated area, and the weather was niceāso it didnāt matter at all š. Dungeness crab cakes: I rarely order this, but my friend did, so I tasted it. Totally unexpected, super tasty! š¦ Wagyu steak tartare Ć la puttanesca: Delicious! If you can handle raw meat, itās a must-order š„©. The meat mixed with other ingredients and bread balances perfectlyānot too greasy, and never off-putting despite being raw. Lobster & prawn rolls: Yummy! Just small portions, boohoo š„ŗ. But for the price, itās fairāafter all, itās seafood š¦. Burrata: Itās their highly recommended dish, and itās really good! š§ Bistecca fiorentina: The menu said itād take 45 mins, but we waited a little over an hour ā³. Itās quite largeācalling it a 4-person portion isnāt an overstatement. It was okay, not as amazing as the appetizers, and a bit salty. Asparagus: Average, a bit tough š„¦. Mashed potato: Nice and creamy š„. ā New Seasons is right across the street š. ā Street parking: I secretly parked at New Seasonsā lot since I couldnāt find a spotābut I did go shop there after the meal, just to be polite š. ā Service was good, but outdoor service is inevitably less attentive, so reservations are recommended āØ. ā Perfect for datesāgreat ambiance! š ā Lots of cute boutique shops nearby. A short walk away is my favorite ice cream spot: Fifty Licks ā ļø. Try their Sticky Mango Rice flavorāitās unique, hard to find, and not too sweet! šØ Average cost per person: š²50-100 š Bistecca Wood Fire Steakhouse 2145 NW Raleigh St, Portland, OR 97210 #PortlandEats #Portland #PortlandFood #OregonFood #Oregon #EateryHunt #PortlandCheckIn #Foodie #WeekendEats
