Portland Weekend Eatery Hunt! Such a Pleasant Surprise 🥳

I saved this spot before, and since I was nearby, I decided to give it a try! No reservation + it was the weekend, so we sat outside. There was a covered, heated area, and the weather was nice—so it didn’t matter at all 😊. Dungeness crab cakes: I rarely order this, but my friend did, so I tasted it. Totally unexpected, super tasty! 🦀 Wagyu steak tartare à la puttanesca: Delicious! If you can handle raw meat, it’s a must-order 🥩. The meat mixed with other ingredients and bread balances perfectly—not too greasy, and never off-putting despite being raw. Lobster & prawn rolls: Yummy! Just small portions, boohoo 🥺. But for the price, it’s fair—after all, it’s seafood 🦞. Burrata: It’s their highly recommended dish, and it’s really good! 🧀 Bistecca fiorentina: The menu said it’d take 45 mins, but we waited a little over an hour ⏳. It’s quite large—calling it a 4-person portion isn’t an overstatement. It was okay, not as amazing as the appetizers, and a bit salty. Asparagus: Average, a bit tough 🥦. Mashed potato: Nice and creamy 🥔. ❗ New Seasons is right across the street 🛒. ❗ Street parking: I secretly parked at New Seasons’ lot since I couldn’t find a spot—but I did go shop there after the meal, just to be polite 😉. ❗ Service was good, but outdoor service is inevitably less attentive, so reservations are recommended ✨. ❗ Perfect for dates—great ambiance! 💖 ❗ Lots of cute boutique shops nearby. A short walk away is my favorite ice cream spot: Fifty Licks ⚠️.
