🍗 Post-Padres Game Review (Sat, Apr 26, 2025) – Tasty & Satisfying!
After the Padres' game against the Tampa Bay Rays on Saturday, April 26, my friend and I left Petco Park and drove up the 163 from downtown San Diego to Hooters Mission Valley (just off I-8, east of the 163) for a late bite. Since I hadn’t eaten at the ballpark—just had a soft drink—I was seriously hungry by the time we arrived after 9 PM. 🕘😋 The restaurant was about half full, so we grabbed a booth. Our server brought cutlery and drinks quickly, though our napkin holder was empty (we borrowed some from a nearby empty table 🙃). We ordered: Buffalo Shrimp – came out first and totally hit the spot! 🍤🔥 New Chicken Strips – coated in their signature 3 Mile Island sauce, served with a side salad. The 6 strips were generously sized, bold in flavor, and nicely spicy (though the "911" level is even hotter! 🌶️). Nachos – for my friend, who’d already had a Hodad’s burger during the game. 🧀🌮 Blue Moon beers to wash it all down! 🍺 Our server handled multiple tables but still checked back in and got our bill sorted smoothly. The total was reasonable, especially with a beer discount, and we even earned United MileagePlus miles through their dining program! ✈️💳 It was great to see this Hooters location doing well despite the economy and so many other restaurants closing early. I’ll definitely be back later this summer after another Padres game (hopefully a win next time! 🙏). Let’s go, Padres! ❤️💙 Thanks for reading my review! Joe G.
