Praise for Venice's Murano Glass Island ๐๐ข
To save money, I stayed in the nearby island of Mestre, and at 9 am, I set off from the hotel, taking a bus and then a train ๐ for 10 minutes to Santa Lucia train station, before hopping on a water taxi. This brought me to Murano, and the whole journey took about an hour and a half. When changing on the Venice islands, I was indeed asked if I was staying here. ๐ขI disembarked at Venier, which felt quite quick! The boat ride was super comfortable, not wobbly at all, with a fantastic view. The sea breeze was especially refreshing, and there were people racing boats on the water, very cool. Personally, I feel that there are several stops on Murano where you can get off, but since it was my first time and I wasn't familiar with the navigation, I got off here. However, Venier is a bit far from the attractions, so it's recommended to get off earlier ๐ข. I had heard that Murano is heavily commercialized, but with limited time, I didn't visit any museums or churches. I had a meal that was delicious and the service was great for just 20 euros, and I was super full. Then I started wandering around the small shops. The fridge magnets and other glass products were very distinctive, with varying prices. It's recommended to visit more shops before buying and compare prices! The staff here generally have a good attitude, and most can speak some English, so communication is not a problem. I noticed many shops selling Pandora-style 925 silver beads, priced between 8-30 euros, each with its own charm. If you compare well, you can find treasures. I was lucky enough to see a master blowing glass here, with superb craftsmanship, which is very suitable for friends who like delicate items. It's really worth a visit. If you take your time to explore, you'll need at least 3-4 hours. #Italy #Venice #VeniceMurano #MuranoGlass
