🤰 Pregnancy Diary 📔 | LA 1-Michelin French — Meteora 💗
This birthday was extra special—celebrating with a little one on the way 🫣 Since I’m avoiding raw meat and seafood during pregnancy, fancy dining options were limited, but Meteora came through beautifully! I informed them about my dietary restrictions, and they didn’t just “make do”—they creatively adapted each course, turning limitations into delightful surprises ✨ For example: 🍣 Caviar was swapped with sago pearls (hilarious but genius 😄), and the texture and layers still shone. The ambiance alone is worth the visit: 🪹 Nest-like entrance 🌿 Lush greenery + marble accents 🌍 Feels like stepping into a modern art forest 📸 Extremely photogenic (even my lazy pregnant self managed some cute shots 😝) You can choose between à la carte or tasting menus (4 or 6 courses). We picked the 6-course menu—perfect for me, maybe a bit filling for smaller appetites (my husband could’ve still eaten McDonald’s after 😂). 🍽️ Standout dishes: 🍞 Bread & Butter — 4.5/5, a solid start. 🐚 Scallop with Persimmon — Mine cooked, my partner’s raw. Sweet, fresh, exquisite. 🍠 Sweet Potato Course — Most surprising and memorable! Who knew sweet potato could be elevated like this? 🐟 Fish & Wagyu — Excellent, as expected from a Michelin spot, though not as striking as the sweet potato. 🍨 Dessert “Snow” Ice Cream — Shaped like snow ❄️, different flavors hidden inside. Whimsical and memorable. 💰 $150 per person for the tasting menu—great value for the experience. A place I’d happily return to, baby bump or not! #PregnancyInTheUS #PregnancyDiary #FrenchCuisine #RomanticRestaurant#RestaurantRecs #LALife #LADiscovery #PrettyPlates
