🌊 June 28, 2024 🇨🇦 On my first day arriving at Prince Edward Island (PEI), the sun was just right, and the wind was gently soft. The first thing I did was rush to the legendary COWS Ice Cream. This ice cream brand, hailed as the best in Canada, originated right here. I visited its first store and picked a rich, milky caramel flavor. One bite, and the sweetness felt like summer embracing me. In the evening, I finally fulfilled my dream of trying Atlantic oysters! At a small pub in Charlottetown, I caught Happy Hour—fresh oysters for $1 each, which was pure bliss. Served on ice, one bite released the briny freshness of the sea and the silky smoothness of cream, mixing together like holding the Atlantic in my mouth. PEI truly lives up to its reputation as "Canada’s foodie island." Beyond oysters and ice cream, there are so many unmissable flavors: 🥔 PEI Potatoes (Fried Red-Skinned Baby Potatoes): The island’s fertile soil gives these potatoes a soft, 糯 sweet taste—even a simple fry makes them delicious. 🦞 Lobster Roll: Plump lobster meat tossed in mayonnaise, tucked into a fluffy bun. Every bite is packed with real, quality ingredients. 🧀 PEI Artisan Cheese: Handmade from the island’s premium milk, some small shops even offer samples. Steamed with white wine, they’re one of the island’s signature seafood dishes. At night, by the Gulf of St. Lawrence facing the Atlantic, the sunset slowly dipped below the vast horizon, painting the sea gold.
