π Providence 20th Anniversary Special Event
What does over $2,000 taste like? Thanks to my amazing friend Sean bin Kanye for the invite! π I experienced an exclusive six-hands dinner with: Chef Michael Cimarusti (Providence, LA πππ) Chef David Kinch (Manresa β closed in 2022, πππ) Chef GΓ©rald PassΓ©dat (Le Petit Nice, Marseille πππ) Thatβs 3 chefs | 9 Michelin stars in one night! β¨ π΅ Price Breakdown: Dinner alone: $900 per person (prepaid) We added a half bottle of wine πΎ β total came to ~$1,000+ each π΄ The Food & Experience: Started strong with a tuna under a nut crust β the βmost expensive tuna theyβve ever boughtβ ππ (Loved the texture, but the nuts overpowered the fish for me) Third course had a subtle oceanic aroma π β interesting, but maybe challenging for some A parade of white fish courses β all different textures, but started to feel repetitive π π΄ Sourdough bread was just okay β mine was a bit too hard π₯ White truffle pasta as main β delicious, but tasted similar to the one I had at Quince (SF πππ) π Dessert wasβ¦ very French and very sweet π°β‘οΈ π¨ Presentation & Vibe: A recurring tree motif πΏ ran through the plating β artistic, but not sure if itβs their logo? Service was impeccable β wine recommendation was lovely π· But the water glasses still smelled like dishwasher π π¨βπ³ Post-dinner: Got a kitchen tour with Chef Michael, signed menu π + chocolates π« Both Providence and Michael reposted our IG stories β so cool! π² π Final Thoughts: A solid 3-star meal β but felt like we partly paid for the chefsβ flights βοΈ Iβd rather fly to SF for Quince, Anomaly SF, or Friends Only π No plans to revisit Providence soon β now counting on Somni for my next LA 3-star fix! Tomorrow: Shunji Pop-up β stay tuned! π£ #ProvidenceLA #Michelin3Star #SixHandsDinner #FineDining #LAFoodScene #SpecialEvent
