🚂 Quirky and fun places in the UK are truly free of charge - York
When it comes to York, it’s actually one of my favorite cities in the UK. Besides the famous Diagon Alley, York Minster, and little ghost shops, there are actually many other must-visit fun spots you shouldn’t miss. 💁♀️ For instance, the National Railway Museum in York. Whether you’re a railway enthusiast or not, believe me, you’ll find joy here! 🏰 🎫 Admission: The best part is that it’s totally 🆓! However, it’s still recommended to book in advance on their official website to ensure a smooth entry. ⌚️ The museum is open daily from 10:00 to 17:00, with the last entry at 16:30. 📍 Location: Leeman Rd, York YO26 4XJ, UK. It’s very close to the city center of York, just a few minutes’ walk from the train station. 🚂 Activities: As everyone knows, the UK is the birthplace of the railway. The museum houses over a hundred trains, including historic steam locomotives and modern electric ones, like the “Flying Scotsman” and the Japanese Shinkansen, which are bound to broaden your horizons. Interactive Experience: There are also many interactive exhibits suitable for visitors of all ages, especially kids, who can learn about the history and operation of railways here. 🍽️ Dining: There’s a café inside the museum offering drinks and snacks, perfect for a rest after exploring. ✊ In summary, the York National Railway Museum is not only a great place to learn about railway history but also a spot where you can enjoy more offbeat attractions in York.
