Real Review of Fine Restaurant in Reykjavík
Despite numerous warnings, we decided to give Fine Restaurant a try. Here’s our honest experience: Restaurant Details: 📍 Address: Rauðarárstígur 33, 105 Reykjavík ⏰ Closing Time: 9:30 PM Experience: Reservation Policy: This restaurant does not accept phone reservations. When we arrived, it was quite crowded, and we had to take a number and wait outside as there were no available seats. The interior was cramped with narrow aisles, making it a bit uncomfortable to wait inside, so we ended up standing outside in the cold. 🌬️ 🌟Service: Once we were called in, the owner’s attitude was actually quite acceptable. What We Ordered:😭😭 Red-Braised Lamb : Highly recommended. The lamb was tender and flavorful, and the dish was completely finished. Boiled Beef : Another hit. The beef was cooked to perfection, and the dish was very satisfying. Mapo Tofu : Also a favorite. The tofu was soft, and the spicy sauce was just right.🌟 👍Sour Fish: It was average. The fish was okay, but nothing exceptional. Sour and Spicy Noodles and Braised Pork: Not recommended. The pork had a distinct flavor reminiscent of British pork. 🌟Portion Sizes and Pricing: Egg Fried Rice: We ordered two servings, but each portion was only enough for two people. At 173 per serving, it felt a bit pricey. Total Cost: For five people, we spent around 450 RMB, including five drinks. The menu listed soy milk as "soybean milk," which was a bit unexpected. If you stick to plain rice, you can probably manage with 300-400 🌟Second Visit: Additional Dishes: On our second visit, we tried some new dishes like Kung Pao Chicken (p7), which was excellent. The Spicy Fish, Shredded Potatoes, and Sweet and Sour Pork were all good choices.😭😭 Cost: This time, without the egg fried rice, the average cost per person was around 300.👍 Overall: While the portions were a bit small and some dishes were a bit pricey, the food was generally enjoyable. It’s a good option for a change of pace from typical Icelandic cuisine, especially if you’re craving something different from the usual "white people food" and lamb soup. #WhitePeopleFood #RestaurantRecommendation #ChineseFood #IcelandChineseFood #Reykjavik #ScandinavianTravel
