Recommend Chart House, a Fantastic Western Restaurant in Portland!

Chart House is a Western restaurant in Portland with an incredible ambiance—it’s located on a hillside, offering great views and a lovely atmosphere 🏞️. You must make a reservation in advance! We ordered their three-course meal for $58, which is amazing value for money 💵. As soon as you’re seated, they’ll bring out complimentary house bread first—freshly baked and warm, with a delicious aroma 🥐. For the appetizer, you can choose between soup or salad; I went straight for the soup option without hesitation 🥣 (salad lovers will also enjoy the salad 🥗). The main course has a good range of choices: steak, pasta, or salmon—pick whichever suits your taste 🥩🍝🐟. The dessert is a fixed "highlight": lava chocolate cake 🍫! I chose the lobster tail bisque. The lobster meat inside is chewy and springy, and the soup has a rich, bold flavor—one sip is super satisfying 🦞. We also ordered extra kimchi squid and fried vegetables, which were surprisingly tasty with no misses 🥢🥬. For drinks, we got a mango mojito—it tastes as refreshing as soda, with almost no alcohol kick, so it’s sure to be a hit with girls 🍹. The steak we first received (as shown in the picture) was a bit fatty. After we mentioned this, the staff immediately replaced it with a new one! The new steak was tender and juicy, bursting with beef flavor in every bite, and the accompanying mashed potatoes were creamy and flavorful 🥔. We also tried the butter shrimp pasta, which had an authentic Italian taste—the shrimp were fresh and springy, and every strand of pasta was coated in rich buttery aroma 🍤. A key recommendation for the dessert! Make sure to save room for it! The lava chocolate cake has ice cream on top and oozing chocolate lava inside when you cut into it. The contrast between the cold ice cream and warm chocolate is absolutely fantastic—everyone in our group loved it 😋. Just a little tip: they update their menu every 3 months, so keep an eye on it if you want to try something new 🔄. There’s also valet parking at the entrance, and the staff are very attentive—they’ll even help open the car door for you, which is a total lifesaver for those who hate looking for parking 🚗. Overall, this restaurant has friendly pricing, delicious food, and great service—no misses at all.
