Regina Rainy Day Spot: Pickleball Fun at Avana Centre 🌧️🏓

Lately, Regina feels like it’s under a rainy spell—rain every weekend! But when the weather keeps you indoors, there’s no better plan than ditching the daily grind (hello, girls’ day out!) and hitting the court for a lively game of pickleball with friends. 👭 The venue? Right next to the Avana Centre, and it’s a pickleball paradise! 🎉 There are 12 courts ready for action, so you’re never short of space to play. For non-members, entry is $15 per person for 2 hours (with a minimum booking of 1 hour, and courts are unassigned—just grab an open spot!). If you’re coming with a group, booking a private court is a steal: $60 for 2 hours, and splitting it with 4 people makes it super budget-friendly. 💰 We were shocked to walk in and find the place almost full—who knew pickleball was this popular here? 😲 The vibe was electric, and we noticed most players were 55+, which totally makes sense—this sport is perfectly senior-friendly! Easy to learn, low-impact, and tons of fun—no wonder it’s a hit with the older crowd. 👵👴 Fun fact: Most outdoor pickleball courts actually share space with tennis courts, just with smaller nets added! 🎾 I even called the Fieldhouse once to ask if we could rent a tennis court for pickleball, but they said no—turns out, their tennis courts are barely used in summer anyway, since everyone prefers free outdoor spots. No worries though—Avana Centre’s indoor courts are way cozier, especially on rainy days! ☔ After two hours of playing, I was hooked—this sport is so addictive! ⚡ The pace is just right, the workout is perfect, and unlike badminton (which leaves me wiped!), I could still walk out standing tall after two hours. No sore muscles, just big smiles and a little sweat—ideal! 💦 If you’re stuck indoors on a rainy Regina weekend, do yourself a favor: gather friends, head to Avana Centre, and give pickleball a try. It’s the ultimate way to beat the rain blues! 🌈 #ReginaRainyDays #PickleballFun #AvanaCentre #CanadaLife #RainyDayActivities #ReginaSpots #FunWithFriends #SeniorFriendlySports #IndoorFun 🏓🌧️👭✨
