Restaurant Exploration - Amar Portuguese Cuisine, Perfect for Dates
Many people have written about the speakeasy bar inside Raffle’s, but today I’m exploring the Portuguese restaurant Amar next door. First, let me give an overall review: the service is excellent! The food is delicious! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Highly recommended. It’s a great place for a date, but you need to book a table well in advance. The chef used to work at a Michelin-starred restaurant.💕 The menu doesn’t have a wide variety, and there is a chef’s recommendation menu. However, since there was no Portuguese duck rice, I didn’t opt for the chef’s menu. Let me talk about the dishes I ordered and recommend. Each dish I ordered was delicious. Overall, the flavors and seasonings are rich and not the typical American-style Western food. No disappointments here. Bread Pao - needs to be ordered separately. The Portuguese olive oil and smokey butter are very distinctive. Somehow this bread leaves a lasting impression. I forgot to take a picture, though.🥂🍽️ 🌟For the appetizer, the boneless quail was a first for me at a foreign restaurant, and it was so good it brought tears to my eyes. The appetizer scallops were of great quality, perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. For the main course, the Portuguese duck rice was excellent. The duck was delicious, and the rice was paired with crispy, roasted duck skin. Truly deserving of its national dish status. The pork chop main course was also well-seasoned and very tender, not at all dry. #BostonFood #RestaurantHunting #DateNightRestaurant #TreasureRestaurantShare #FoodieCheckIn #RestaurantRecommendations #BostonLife #BostonEats #BostonFoodAndFun #BostonTravel
