Restaurant Recommendation for a Toronto Visit: Reign

🌟Reign is located in the lobby of the Fairmont Hotel. I was truly impressed by the exquisite wine cabinet in the center of the lobby. Unfortunately, we were seated in a smaller hall and couldn't capture the murals and the elegant decorations of the main hall. The service was good, but the male waiter was a bit stiff, reminding me of the electrifying doctor from The Hunger Games: Catching Fire. The female waiters were much more warm and friendly. Cauliflower Soup 🌟All the ingredients were placed in the center of a deep plate. The waiter then poured the soup around the circle into the plate using a small jug. The Western-style soup is made by cooking the ingredients, blending them, and then straining out the solids. The soup base is likely chicken broth, without the greasiness of cream. The cauliflower flavor is well-integrated into the soup, with nuts on top. The cauliflower itself has a slight sweetness, and the addition of green apple provides a tangy and sweet layer. Caesar Salad 🌟This salad uses baby gem lettuce, which is smaller than regular lettuce and perfectly bite-sized. Two types of cheese are evenly sprinkled over the salad (for those who aren't cheese connoisseurs, it's hard to distinguish). The texture is soft and smooth, complementing the crispness of the lettuce. Surprisingly, the sourdough croutons were ground into coarse crumbs and used as a seasoning on the salad, adding another layer of texture.
