Restaurant Review | Korean Braised Pork Hock in LA
Every Bite is So Bouncy! ๐ท๐ซ First time visiting this Korean pork hock spot โ and the side dishes alone were impressive right from the start! The bean sprout soup was served hot, with a fresh and spicy kick. The kimchi, though, had a mild flavor โ not sour at all, which was different than expected but surprisingly refreshing! ๐ฅฌ๐ฒ โจ Signature Pork Hock The moment it arrived, it was a showstopper โ a huge plate, neatly sliced. The skin was delightfully bouncy, the meat firm and chewy, perfectly seasoned โ not too heavy, not too bland. Comes with two dipping sauces! ๐ฅฌ Pork Wrapped in Lettuce A must-order at every Korean restaurant I go to! Wrapping the pork belly in lettuce and taking a big bite is pure satisfaction. ๐ฏ๐ ๐ฅ Pork Bone and Potato Soup A vibrant red bowl with a strong perilla leaf flavor โ warming and appetite-triggering! Great for those who love bold tastes. โค๏ธ๐ฅ ๐ฅ Seafood Pancake This one was a real surprise! Super thick, almost like a pizza when it arrived. Crispy outside, tender inside, packed with shrimp, squid, and mussels โ so much texture! I usually pick out bell peppers, but here they actually complemented the seafood perfectly, adding another layer of flavor. ๐ค๐ฆ The portions here are huge โ great for groups so you can try a bit of everything! ๐คค ๐ ฟ๏ธ Plenty of parking in the plaza โ very convenient. ๐ LA Jangchung Jokbal 2716 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90006 Whatโs your favorite Korean comfort dish?
