Restaurant Review | Korean Braised Pork Hock in LA
Every Bite is So Bouncy! π·π« First time visiting this Korean pork hock spot β and the side dishes alone were impressive right from the start! The bean sprout soup was served hot, with a fresh and spicy kick. The kimchi, though, had a mild flavor β not sour at all, which was different than expected but surprisingly refreshing! π₯¬π² β¨ Signature Pork Hock The moment it arrived, it was a showstopper β a huge plate, neatly sliced. The skin was delightfully bouncy, the meat firm and chewy, perfectly seasoned β not too heavy, not too bland. Comes with two dipping sauces! π₯¬ Pork Wrapped in Lettuce A must-order at every Korean restaurant I go to! Wrapping the pork belly in lettuce and taking a big bite is pure satisfaction. π―π π₯ Pork Bone and Potato Soup A vibrant red bowl with a strong perilla leaf flavor β warming and appetite-triggering! Great for those who love bold tastes. β€οΈπ₯ π₯ Seafood Pancake This one was a real surprise! Super thick, almost like a pizza when it arrived. Crispy outside, tender inside, packed with shrimp, squid, and mussels β so much texture! I usually pick out bell peppers, but here they actually complemented the seafood perfectly, adding another layer of flavor. π€π¦ The portions here are huge β great for groups so you can try a bit of everything! π€€ π ΏοΈ Plenty of parking in the plaza β very convenient. π LA Jangchung Jokbal 2716 W Olympic Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90006 Whatβs your favorite Korean comfort dish?
