Restaurant Review | New Dessert/Simple Meal Spot in Dallas

🐌A small dessert and simple meal place has just opened behind the Carrollton Great Wall Plaza, so I decided to give it a try! Desserts are available all day, while simple meals are only served after 5 PM. They’re closed on Wednesdays. 🥩The night market-style iron plate steak brought back childhood memories! Who understands that black pepper sauce and the spaghetti underneath? It’s the perfect taste of a roadside old-school tea restaurant from my memories. The braised pork rice was decent, but I felt like the portion of meat was a bit on the small side. The Taiwanese fried chicken drumstick was delicious, with a salt-and-pepper chicken flavor. 🦞The desserts were quite a pleasant surprise. I think they’re even better than Xian Yu Xian’s, not as sweet! I highly recommend the black rice and red bean soup. The sweetness is just right, the red beans are rich in flavor, and the black rice is a real treat. The taro ball and red bean sago pudding is also delicious, with chewy taro balls. All in all, if you’re passing by or live nearby, it’s definitely worth a visit! 📍Mei Wei Taiwan Cuisine / 3 Dessert 2528 Old Denton Rd #170, Carrollton, TX 75006 #FoodieSpot #EatingOut #RestaurantReview #DallasLife #DallasFood
