Review: Sovereign Thai Cuisine in San Diego – Delicious but Pricey!
I tried Sovereign Thai Cuisine in San Diego the other day. The food was tasty, but my wallet felt a little lighter afterward. If you’re a fan of Thai flavors, here’s my experience! 🥩 Sticky Rice + Steak: Tasty but Small Portion I ordered the Sticky Rice + Steak for $35. The steak had a nice sear on the outside and was tender inside. The sticky rice was soft and chewy, which I really enjoyed. However, the portion was quite small, so it didn’t feel like the best value for the price. 🍛 Dried Red Curry Chicken: A Pleasant Surprise! The Dried Red Curry Chicken was the standout dish! Priced at $25, the curry sauce was rich and flavorful, perfect with rice. It had just the right amount of spice and felt more authentically Thai compared to the steak. If you love bold flavors, this one’s a must-try. 💰 A Note on Pricing We only ordered these two dishes, and with additional charges, the total came to $67.23. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, and the presentation is beautiful. The flavors are consistent, but it’s definitely on the pricier side. 👉 Who Should Go? If you’re looking for refined Thai cuisine with careful presentation and balanced flavors, this is a good choice. But if you prefer large, spicy, and budget-friendly Thai meals, you might want to explore other options. 🌟 Final Thoughts Overall, Sovereign Thai Cuisine is a place to visit when you want to treat yourself. The food is delicious, but the prices are steep. I’d recommend going with a group to share dishes and make it more worthwhile. San Diego has plenty of Thai restaurants, and this one is worth trying at least once! #ThaiFood #SanDiegoEats #FoodReview #PriceyButGood #DriedRedCurry #SteakAndStickyRice #FoodieAdventures
