Revisiting Korean Cuisine Near the British Museum in London!
📍 Restaurant Name: Bi Won (same as Jennie’s favorite) I’ve been craving Korean food for a while, and I finally had a delicious meal in London! Apart from being more expensive than in my home country, there are no drawbacks. 1️⃣ Fried Chicken 🍗: I ordered two flavors—sweet chili and soy. The pieces are large, with crispy skin and juicy meat, far better than any dry and tough fried chicken I’ve had elsewhere in the UK. I loved the seasoning on both flavors. 2️⃣ Grilled Beef Tongue: Tender and served on a bed of onions. 3️⃣ Fish Cake and Tteokbokki: The fish cakes were more flavorful than the rice cakes! 4️⃣ Pork Rib Pot: The ribs were large, and I enjoyed the crispy cartilage and bone marrow—my favorite parts. Why is it always about gnawing on big bones? 5️⃣ Pig’s Feet: They reminded me of the braised pig’s feet my family makes during the New Year, but these had more fat than lean meat. 6️⃣ Beef Bibimbap: Served in a hot stone bowl with a little crust at the bottom. You can add your own spicy sauce—always a safe bet. 7️⃣ Naengmyeon (Cold Noodles): Thin noodles, flavorful, and refreshing. 8️⃣ Seafood Pancake: It reminded me of scallion pancakes from home. Maybe because I ate it too quickly, but I didn’t feel much seafood flavor. Paying in cash offers a slight discount. The average cost per person was £31. I highly recommend the overall taste! #StudyingInUK #Foodie #BritishMuseum
