Rhode Island | Wheel Croissants in a Maillard-toned Café

At last I got my hands on a wheel croissant in PVD! 🍧The café itself is gorgeous—just being inside lifts your mood. The exterior is nothing special, yet every table was full and there was a queue to order. The whole space is done in warm Maillard browns, and the tiny details are adorable: the coffee counter is an old library card-catalog cabinet, each little drawer labelled “coffee” in a different language. ☕️ 🍋The croissant looks perfect—crisp, shattering skin with exactly the right soft, slightly chewy crumb inside. Sheer bliss! Loads of flavours to choose from, but go early or some may sell out. ☕️ A La Marzocco machine never lets you down! The Oat Latte was stellar. They also have an auto-pour-over set-up that looks fun—will try next time.
