Rhode Island Eats: The District

šŸ’›The menu names are pretty fun—everything’s got a legal twist: Defendant, DA, Prosecutor, you name it. At heart, though, it’s straight-up classic American fare. šŸ’›Knocked out two weeks of assignments on campus and decided I deserved a treat—back to The District, still as tasty as ever. šŸŗStarted with the fish taco: insanely good. The crispy fried fish and cool coleslaw cancel out any greasiness, and a squeeze of lemon plus a drizzle of ranch make it next-level. šŸŗCan’t believe this is listed as an appetizer—classic American portion shock—so I just called it my (daily) cheat meal. 🄐Main was the Bondsman sandwich, a fried-chicken number. The bird stayed juicy, and since the flavor comes mostly from veggies instead of sauce it never felt heavy—though for my taste it could’ve used a touch more seasoning. To drink, a white ale: smooth going down, zero harsh bitterness, solid pint šŸŗ. #FoodDiary #Providence #FoodieFinds
