🌳 Richmond Park is Absolutely Stunning on a Sunny Day
🗺️ How to Get There 🚇 By Tube/Train + Bus: The most common way is to take the District Line or a train to Richmond Station. From there, transfer to bus 371 or 65 to get near the park. Alternatively, it’s about a 20-30 minute walk from the station to the park. 🔄 Alternative Route: For a better chance to spot deer, take the District Line to Putney Bridge Station, then switch to bus 85 to Robin Hood Lane. This route is said to provide easier access to the southeastern areas where deer are often active. 🚗 By Car: The park has several entrances with parking lots. However, note that driving inside the park is generally not allowed. ✨ Park Highlights 🦌 Urban Wild Deer Herds: Home to over 600 freely roaming red and fallow deer—a rare natural wildlife experience in the city! 🌿 Vast Natural Space: As London’s largest Royal Park, it’s about seven times the size of Hyde Park! 🏛️ Rich History & Landscapes: The park features historical sites like King Henry’s Mound (where Henry VIII once stood) and the beautiful Isabella Plantation—a stunning ornamental garden. 🚶 Suggested Routes & Activities Given its huge size, it’s almost impossible to explore the entire park in one visit. Choose an area based on your interest and energy! 🥾 Classic Deer-Spotting Hike (2-3 hours): Start from an entrance like Roehampton Gate (known for deer sightings) → Head to Pen Ponds to look for deer → Stroll through Isabella Plantation to enjoy flowers and ponds → Finish at King Henry’s Mound for panoramic views of London’s skyline. #UKStudent #StudyInUK #DayTripFromLondon #LondonDayTrip #RichmondPark #LondonParks
