Richmond VA’s Hidden Gem: A Neighborhood Greek Restaurant 🇬🇷✨

While driving from Florida to New York, we stopped in Richmond, VA and discovered this amazing Greek restaurant tucked away in a residential area. Not only is it affordable and generous in portion, but the quality is also outstanding. A word of caution for those with smaller appetites: I was stunned the moment I walked in by a salad plate on a nearby table — it was literally one-third the size of the table! 😱 Good restaurants like this are rare in smaller cities like Richmond, so it’s definitely worth sharing: Grilled Octopus Leg 🐙 3.5/5 Nothing too extraordinary, but solid. A bit on the salty side, but the smoky char from the grill added a nice touch. Simple but satisfying. Lamb Frites 🍟🐑 4/5 Sliced lamb in a rich sauce served over crispy fried potatoes, topped with scallions and feta cheese. I’d call it “Greek-style Lamb and Potato Stew” — hearty, bold, and fusion-friendly! Very filling for an appetizer. Recommended if you like adventurous combos. Lamb Shank 🍖 4/5 Slow-cooked until tender and falling off the bone, served with pan-fried thick pasta (almost like a crispy noodle cake). Comforting and delicious. Koutopoulo 🍆 4.5/5 The star of the meal! Think Greek-style eggplant lasagna — layered with roasted eggplant, savory tomato-meat sauce, and smooth creamy eggplant purée, all broiled to perfection. Unique and highly recommended! Final bill for two: $113 💰 A great value for the quality and quantity!
