🩷Morning in Rio: Copacabana Beach & First Impressions 🌊We arrived in Rio de Janeiro in the morning and headed straight to Copacabana Beach, where our hotel was located. As we drove along the coast, seeing people in swimwear crossing the streets, we immediately felt the vibrant vacation atmosphere. We found a highly-rated Lebanese restaurant for lunch — the food was delicious, but the portions were huge! We couldn’t finish everything. ✨In the afternoon, we joined a favelas tour. The guide picked us up from our hotel and shared many stories from his own experience growing up in a favela. He emphasized that beyond the safety concerns many tourists worry about, the more pressing issue here is the structural instability of the buildings. He pointed out several visibly tilting houses still inhabited by families, noting that no one knows when these homes might collapse. 🥰In the evening, we returned to the residential area near Copacabana Beach for dinner.
