Roasted Whole Lamb in the NY Area
🦢 Braised Goose in Iron Pot: The goose is raised by the restaurant itself—incredibly delicious! Tender and flavorful, even better than the roasted lamb. The potatoes stewed inside were soft and savory too! 🥬 Pork Ribs with Pickled Cabbage: Also amazing! The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender, and the pickled cabbage was wonderfully refreshing. 🍞 Cornbread: This was my first time trying the thick version—it’s like a large steamed bun, and so fragrant! We also ordered: 🫑Tiger Salad🥗Cold Tofu Skin Salad 🫛Marinated Tofu Bamboo Cured Meat These dishes had a homestyle feel and were quite tasty. 🐑 Roasted Whole Lamb: Personally, I found it a bit dry, almost like lamb jerky—packed with protein. While there wasn’t even a hint of gaminess, I still prefer the soft, tender, and well-marbled texture of boiled hand-torn lamb. Still, it was a unique experience! The yurt setup also included traditional ethnic costumes for photo opportunities. Enjoying the blue skies, white clouds, and the surrounding forest was truly therapeutic. #NYLife #NYSurroundings #NYWeekend #NewYork #RoastedWholeLamb #NYRoastedLamb #NYCuisine
