Rose Kennedy Greenway 🌿🏙️

The Boston office where I train is located on Portland St, and every day I walk through the Rose Kennedy Greenway—one of the most impressive urban park projects I’ve seen in the U.S.! This beautiful green corridor was born from the Big Dig engineering marvel 🚧✨. After the removal of the elevated Central Artery that once divided the city, Boston’s downtown traffic was reorganized underground, and the surface was transformed into a continuous stretch of parks and plazas. The result? A world-class urban greenway! The Greenway spans about 1.61 km and includes five connected parks from north to south, forming a modern "emerald necklace" for Boston 💚📿. It features gardens, fountains, shaded pathways, and public art—all designed for people to enjoy. What makes it special: You can walk on the grass, dip your feet in the water features 💦, and even spot wild Canadian geese grazing peacefully 🦢🍃. It’s a place where people, animals, and nature coexist harmoniously 🌍❤️. Historical markers along the path tell the story of Boston’s evolution from a small island to a major port and educational hub 📜⛵. Whether you’re commuting, relaxing, or exploring, the Greenway truly embodies the idea that parks are for people—vibrant, accessible, and alive! #UrbanLandscape #Boston #RoseKennedyGreenway #LandscapeDesign #BigDig #ParksForPeople #ExploreBoston #CityPlanning 🌳🚶♀️
