🦪 RVA｜A Restaurant I’m Falling in Love With More and More

Initially, I was just looking for a place in RVA to enjoy raw oysters. The first spot I tried was the rather ordinary Boathouse in Short Pump 🏢. The atmosphere was decent but nothing special. Later, I discovered they have multiple locations—and during happy hour you can enjoy oysters to your heart’s content! 🕓🎉 I’ve since visited several other branches—each with its own charm. The one in Midlothian is definitely my favorite 🌲🌧️. Tucked away in a corner, this wooden cabin by the lake was even more magical on a rainy day. Although the patio was closed due to weather, taking a walk outside after the meal was incredibly soothing. The downtown Richmond location is more basic inside but has an industrial vibe upstairs 🏭. The Hopewell branch feels modern, with a relaxed view of a small river flowing by 🌊. All locations share the same menu 📄, serve solid food, and are consistently busy. It’s the perfect spot to unwind alone, get some work done, or catch up with friends 👩💻🍹.
