Sacramento Day Trip | A Jam-Packed Itinerary from the Bay Area 🏛️🚂

Left the Bay Area at 8 AM, arrived in California's capital after a two-hour drive, ready for a full day of exploration. Morning Stops 🏛️ State Capitol Closed on weekends, so we admired the grand exterior only. Much of the State Capitol Park behind it was fenced off for construction. 🌹 Rose Garden Located within the Capitol Park, still in full and beautiful bloom in mid-October—a lovely surprise! 🏠 Stanford Mansion Guided tours available to explore this historic home. Parking Tip 🅿️ Capitol Garage: $2 per half hour. Lunch Highlight 🍽️ T Kee Had the best eel claypot rice in the US here! Instantly boosted my motivation to go skiing this winter. Afternoon Stops 🚂 Railroad Museum $12 admission, valid for re-entry all day. Coincided with the special exhibition "The Hidden Spike," detailing the history of Chinese railroad workers. 🏘️ Old Sacramento A historic district with retro streets lined with restaurants and souvenir shops. Connects the Tower Bridge at one end and the Railroad Museum at the other. 🌉 Tower Bridge Sits on the same central axis as the State Capitol, an iconic landmark. Parking Note 🅿️ Due to a triathlon event, parking in the area cost $15 for the day.
