Said to Be Portland’s Best Korean Food… Nak Won 🇰🇷

Went to Nak Won on a Friday night—had planned to head to 1st Street Pocha if the wait was too long, but there were 2-3 empty tables when we arrived! ✨ Banchan (side dishes) are free and refillable infinitely. 🥢 There’s kimchi, marinated seaweed, seasoned sausage, and even cold mung bean jelly! We got refills on seasoned tofu and cucumber (crunchy!), and loved the egg yolk potato salad (creamy and milky). 🥔 Spicy Squid Dolsot Bibimbap: The name made me think it’d be super spicy, but it wasn’t spicy at all. 🦑 Tossed with sauce, the flavor wasn’t rich either. Beef Dolsot Bibimbap: Maybe my expectations were too high—didn’t feel wow-ed by it. 😐 Korean BBQ requires ordering at least 2 portions. 🥩 We got fatty beef and pork belly, both unmarinated (original flavor). After grilling, we dipped them in sauce, wrapped in lettuce, and they even served a big bowl of garlic on the side. 🧄 Seafood Pancake tasted great! 🥞 Its texture was a bit lacking in layers—there was plenty of seafood, but only octopus (no other kinds). #KoreanBBQ #KoreanFood #KoreanBibimbap #MomentsWorthRecordingEveryDay #Banchan #DailyFoodDiary 🍽️
