Salt Lake City|Affordable & Delicious Chinese Restaurant
After being used to overpriced Chinese food in Boston, coming to Salt Lake City felt like a breath of fresh air—finally, tasty and reasonably priced Chinese cuisine! 🎉 Just a short drive from downtown SLC, in a small shopping area, you’ll find Jiang Nan Ren Jia. In my opinion, it perfectly hits the mark: delicious, affordable, and full of warmth. The friendly atmosphere, attentive service, and hearty dishes left a great first impression of Chinese food in SLC. This review is based purely on personal taste and experience~ 🥰 Dishes I loved: Braised Pork with Tofu Knots 🐖🍯 Sweet and savory braised pork with well-balanced fat and lean meat. The rich sauce is irresistible, and the tofu knots soak up all the flavors, making them as satisfying as the meat itself. Perfect with a big bowl of rice! 🍚❤️ Lamb Hot Pot 🍲🐑 The most surprising delight of the meal! The mini pot contains about half a pound of lamb. First, you simmer the broth, enjoy the lamb and soup, then use the rich broth to cook cabbage, tofu, and vermicelli. For a moment, it took me back to Beijing! 🏮✨ The lamb broth is incredibly aromatic, made from simmered lamb bones and pre-seasoned with pepper—so flavorful that one bowl warms you right up. The lamb itself is a bit firm, but the cabbage, tofu, and vermicelli cooked in the broth are deeply infused with flavor. The server kindly prepared a sesame-spicy dipping sauce that paired wonderfully with everything. All this for just $26—totally worth it! Jiangxi Stir-Fried Rice Noodles 🍜🔥 Wok-fried with intense heat—spicy, chewy, and deeply satisfying! Home-Style Dishes 🥢🍳 Plenty of budget-friendly options: stir-fried pork or beef for under 20, tomato and egg stir-fry for just 11. The portions are generous, including a big bowl of rice. #SaltLakeCity #SaltLakeCityFood #ChineseCuisineSLC #Utah #UtahFood #UtahEats #AffordableEats #ComfortFood #HiddenGems #FoodieReview
