📍Salt Lake City|Atmospheric Ramen Shop 🏮
This week’s recommendation is a ramen shop with amazing vibes! While Utah has plenty of ramen spots, this one stands out by uniquely blending a bar, Western-style architecture, and Japanese elements into one charming experience 🍜✨. Named after Yokohama—the ramen capital 🗾—it stays true to the “ie-kei ramen” style born there, featuring a soy sauce and pork bone broth that’s rich, savory, and slightly thick. I was first drawn in by the original soundtrack posters on the wall 🎵🖼️. As a die-hard fan of the Red Dead Redemption trilogy, I was instantly hooked! The crowd is mostly young and hip—a true hidden gem for the cool kids 😎❤️. 🍜 Chashu Ramen As mentioned, their ramen uses a soy-based broth that’s on the richer, oilier side. If you prefer lighter flavors, you might want to skip it or try the vegetable miso ramen instead. The taste is very close to what you’d call “Greater Chinese-style ramen.” It comes with a poached egg (not a ramen egg) and stir-fried cabbage that’s a bit oily but flavorful. The chashu is excellent—thick-cut, lightly grilled, and full of meaty goodness 🥢🔥. 🍗 Chicken Wings and 🥟 Gyoza Both were decent—nothing extraordinary, but solid. Also, they used to offer a rare topping: crispy fried pig ears 🐷👂. Sadly, it’s temporarily unavailable. Hope it makes a comeback soon!
