📍Salt Lake City|Food Review|Arlo
A newly opened spot with really high aesthetic appeal—I’ve been eyeing it for a while 👀💕. After studying at the Marmalade Library after work on Friday, I decided to treat myself. Since it was only a 10-minute drive away, I headed straight over 🚗💨. The restaurant is located on the slope leading up to the Capitol State in Salt Lake City—a truly prime location 🏛️🌆. Every time I visit this area, I feel like I’m in a cozy Californian town 🍋☀️. The exterior is a cute little house nestled among lush green trees 🌳🏡, but the interior is surprisingly spacious with an outdoor dining area. Since I was alone, I chose to sit at the bar where I could watch the entire cooking process 👨🍳🔍. From what I observed, they use a lot of pre-made ingredients, which made each dish feel less special. Also, hygiene wasn’t ideal—there were flies around 🪰, and the chefs sometimes wore disposable gloves, sometimes not 🧤❌. If I hadn’t sat at the bar, I would never have noticed since the dining environment is stylish and pleasant. So, if a restaurant isn’t fully confident, maybe it’s better not to have an open kitchen—it can easily reveal shortcomings 😅. Looking through the menu, only the Ravioli caught my interest 🍝. Honestly, it was tasty. While eating, I noticed all desserts were taken directly from the fridge 🧊🍰—not appealing at all, so I skipped them. The salads also seemed hastily assembled with a few leaves and bottled dressings 🥗👎. Won’t be going back—giving it ⭐️⭐️⭐️. Not sure why it has such high ratings on Yelp 🤷♀️. #LifeAbroad #MyLifeOverseas #DocumentingLifeAbroad #Alone #SoloButNotLonely #TimeForOneself #EatWellEvenAlone #DiningSolo #SoloRomance #SaltLakeCity #SLCFood #SaltLakeEats #Utah #LifeInSLC #FoodReview #WeekendEats #SLCFoodReview #MyFoodDiary #FoodShare #FoodieUSA #Inspiration #UtahFood #WeekendPlans #DailyFood
