📍Salt Lake City|Secret Door Bar|🈲️ Alcohol Theme ❌ Prohibition
If you know a little about American history, you might be aware that in the early 1920s, the U.S. began a 13-year-long alcohol prohibition 🚫🍺. Even today, traces of that era remain across the country. During Prohibition, bars were forced underground 🕵️♂️. Entrances were often disguised as barbershops 💈 or cafes ☕️. Behind hidden doors, parties continued—alcohol was served in coffee cups to avoid detection, adding an extra thrill to the experience. Even in the 21st century, many Prohibition-themed restaurants still exist across the U.S., mostly concentrated in cities like New York or Chicago. But right here in our Salt Lake City, we have one too—operating “under the radar” in the heart of LDS territory 😎. If you drive past, you’d never guess that this unassuming building hides such a fascinating world inside 🏚️✨. The discreet location fits the Prohibition theme perfectly. The moment you step inside, it feels like traveling back to the 1920s 🎩📻. The walls are covered with vintage-style knick-knacks, turning the space into a mini museum. Servers dressed in retro white shirts and bow ties 🤵 greet you in character and guide you through a secret door into the dining area—as if stepping right out of a black-and-white documentary 🎬. The food is delicious 🍽️. As a themed restaurant, prices are on the higher side, but I’m happy to pay for the fun experience. The cocktails 🍸 are particularly unique and worth trying. In Figure 7, I ordered the “Bourbon and the Beast”—inspired by the rose from Beauty and the Beast 🌹. It arrived under a glass cloche filled with swirling smoke… absolutely beautiful! ⭐️ On Friday and Saturday nights, they host special Burlesque performances 💃. The performers are dedicated and incredibly talented—the atmosphere is electric! The Marilyn Monroe act totally won me over ❤️. On performance nights, the place is packed—make sure to reserve in advance! 📍 151 E 6100 S, Salt Lake City, UT 84107 #SaltLakeCityEats #LifeInSLC #WeekendExplore #SLCFoodReview #MyFoodDiary #FoodShare #FoodieUSA #Inspiration #COTD #BarScene #PopularBars #SLCTravel #SaltLakeCity #FridayVibes #Nightlife #FriendsGathering #WeekendPlans #ProhibitionEra #Speakeasy #ThemedRestaurant #HiddenDoorBar
