📍Salt Lake City Bar with Food Better Than Restaurants 🍺 White Horse
Nestled in Salt Lake City’s historic bar street, right next to its sister spot Whiskey Street (literally sharing a wall 🧱), and helmed by the same chef—no wonder both places serve such delicious food! While Whiskey Street and Bourbon Street focus on whiskey and bourbon 🥃, attracting loyal older fans and sports enthusiasts, White Horse specializes in wine and cider 🍷🍏, drawing a more white-collar crowd. The bar’s name carries a hint of religious satire—inspired by the White Horse prophecy in Revelation. LDS leader John Smith once said the white horse would save us when America’s order collapses. Appetizer 🦪 Oyster Bar Flown in from East and West coasts within 24 hours—super fresh and sweet! ⭐️ Egg n Chips OMG, so good! 🥚🍟 The chips are perfectly thick, served hot in a paper bag with a raw egg yolk to shake up—texture heaven! Entrée 🌟 Duck Breast 🦆 Can we crown this the house specialty? I’ve always loved duck breast (formerly a fan of Copper Onion’s orange-glazed version), but White Horse’s completely won me over. The sour berries on top are a genius touch—cutting the richness while adding depth. 🌟 Braised Short Ribs 🍖 Must-order! Tender short ribs in a rich French red wine sauce, paired with mashed potatoes—pure bliss! 😋 ⭐️ Wagyu Steak 🥩 Wins on meat quality—minimally seasoned, everything just right. Organic Salmon Good, but compared to the first three dishes, it’s just okay. Dessert Bourbon Butterscotch Pudding Extremely sweet—condensed milk texture but overwhelmingly sugary. Mascarpone Cheesecake 🍰 Similarly too sweet—do drunk taste buds need extra sugar? 🍬😅 📍325 S Main St, Salt Lake City, UT 84111 #SaltLakeCityEats #LifeInSLC #WeekendEats #SLCFoodReview #MyFoodDiary #FoodShare #FoodieUSA #Inspiration
