Salt Lake City Food Check-In ๐
๐ข Matchistick Chinese Restaurant ๐๐๐๐ Skewers taste really close to the ones back in China โ plus they serve them with jianbing-style wraps! ๐ Ten Seconds Yunnan Rice Noodle ๐๐๐ Better than Seattleโs, way better than Denverโs, about on par with Bay Areaโs version. ๐ Eiko Cafe SLC ๐๐๐ Sour cabbage fish was tasty, but the braised pork belly was a bit dry. ๐ฅ Top Pot & K BBQ ๐๐๐ Broth was decent โ lots of choices and good value. They have snow crab, sashimi, and even Chinese-style tea drinks. You can do hot pot + Korean BBQ + sushi all in one! ๐ฒ Happy Lamb Hotpot ๐๐๐ No spicy beef tallow broth like other locations, but still plenty of options. ๐ฅ OMBU Hotpot ๐๐๐๐ My favorite broth of the three! Good variety, includes lu wei braised snacks (though those were just okay for me). All three hot pot places are similarly priced. ๐ถ๏ธ Beijing Sichuan House ๐๐๐ Salted egg yolk shrimp was delicious. Spicy fried frog legs were crispy and flavorful. Garlic water spinach was great. Tried rabbit meat too โ a bit dry though. ๐ Sasa Kitchen ๐๐๐๐ Guizhou Huaxi rice noodles were really good. Friends raved about the sour spicy noodles and oil-splashed noodles too! ๐ Mamaโs Kitchen ๐๐ Their โspicy numbing chickenโ tasted more like sweet & sour fried chicken ๐ But the shredded potatoes were decent. #SaltLakeCityFood #WhatToEatInSLC #SkiSaltLakeCity ๐๏ธ๐๐ฅ
