Salt Lake City Summer Fun—Splash Summit Waterpark 💦🎢
Located in Provo, Splash Summit Waterpark is about a 50-minute drive from downtown Salt Lake City. It features over a dozen water slides, making it perfect for family trips or adults wanting to relive childhood joy! Even if you can’t swim (like me), you can still have fun—I survived and loved it! 😂 Tickets: 27 per person | Parking: 10 I bought a seasonal pass on Groupon for $53, which allows unlimited visits from May to December. Just two trips and it pays for itself! The park is closed on Sundays! We went at 10:30 AM on Monday. Though it was Memorial Day, crowds were manageable—maybe because many people traveled out of town. The park opens at 10 AM; we arrived at 10:30, waited 15 minutes, and even found empty lounge chairs! For many Rafting rides, you’ll need a yellow tube (available for rent at entry). They’ll give you a wristband—$6 per tube. A double tube is more fun! 🌊 The wave pool generates artificial waves every 10 minutes—the whole water surface moves, and waves crash toward the shore. Super fun! The deepest part is 6 feet. The park provides blue tubes for shared use—great for floating in the flash zone, napping, or drifting in the lazy river. There are 15+ water slides, but I only tried 5–6 (I’m cautious!). Avoid free-fall slides if you’re afraid of heights 😅. For non-swimmers: many slides end in 3-foot-deep water (about 1 meter)—stay calm, you can stand up after sliding! Slide Tips: 1. Keep your hips lifted while sliding—otherwise, it hurts (learned the hard way!). 2. Hold tight to your tube—if you fall off, you’ll swallow water! I fell, drank a mouthful, and got knocked back into the water by my friend 😂. 3. Don’t wear glasses or sunglasses—they might fall into the water (mine did, but I found them!). What to Bring: • Sunscreen spray (reapply often!) • Sunglasses & hat (for shade while drifting) • Beach or camping chair (park chairs are hard and uncomfortable) • Large towel (not provided) • Change of clothes • Water bottle • Tent if you want to camp on the grass • Card for buying food/drinks (expensive and not tasty—$5 for a pizza slice. Eat before coming!) #WaterPark #SaltLakeCity #VisitSLC #SummerFun #FamilyActivities #UtahAdventures
