San Antonio|🇲🇽 Fruit Drinks + Ice Cream
Yuan Tea was closed today, so we popped into this Mexican snack shop in the same shopping center 🏪. It’s super colorful inside, with a little play area for kids 🧒🎠 — felt like stepping back into the '90s! ✨ AGUAS FRESCAS – Fruit-infused “Sweet Waters” 🥤 ▫️ Cucumber 🥒 – I got cucumber + chia seeds. Refreshing with a hint of lemon, but they’re pretty frugal — medium size doesn’t come with a lid, only the large does 😅. ▫️ Strawberry Lemon 🍓🍋 – Sweeter, with a strong strawberry flavor. Really tasty! ▫️ Pineapple 🍍 – Looked delicious, maybe like pineapple slush? Almost chose it… next time! ▫️ Strawberry Milk 🥛🍓 – The pink one at the front! Made with condensed milk, strawberries, and milk — richer and sweeter. The clear ones are lighter and more refreshing. ▫️ Cantaloupe 🍈 – Didn’t see it today, but I’ve had it elsewhere — also super good. ✨ ICE CREAM 🍦 They have ice cream bars and scoops in cups — the cup version is softer. ▫️ Lime 🍋 – My colleague loves this! She got one for herself and one for her mom 😊. Fresh and tangy, though not really my thing. ▫️ Rum Raisin 🍇🍹 – Tried a bite — couldn’t really taste the alcohol, but the plump, icy raisins were delicious! ✨ MANGONADAS – Mango Slush + Chili Sauce 🥭🍧🌶️ ▫️ Mango + chili sauce – You can also choose plain with chili powder. A classic Mexican treat — reminds me of how they eat mango in Hainan with sour-spicy seasoning! They also have other common (and not-so-common) Mexican snacks like NACHOS, PAPAS, TOSTILOCOS — probably the Mexican version of childhood treats 🍬, kind of like my memories of Little Pudding, Green Tongue popsicles, and Old Ice Bars from back in the day. This is a big chain — you can check if there’s one near you! 📍 La Michoacana Plus #SanAntonio #SanAntonioFood #SATXEats #MexicanSnacks
