San Antonio|Ranked #7 American Restaurant… Disappointed 😕
This downtown bar/restaurant has over 1,500 reviews and a 4.3-star rating — you’d think it’d be pretty good! We tried their lamb burger, beef burger, and fried calamari as an appetizer. 🏛️ Ambiance is lovely — the building is beautiful and historic! According to the menu, it was built in 1882 and went through many changes before becoming this restaurant in 2010. There’s even a cozy little reading nook 📚✨. 🍟 Best part: the fries – Crispy outside, fluffy inside, perfectly seasoned ✅. 🦑 Fried Calamari – Way too salty 😬, and the dipping sauce was odd — more like tomato soup than classic marinara. 🥔 Potato Salad – Honestly, the worst potato salad I’ve ever had 🥴. I saw a review saying their salads are “to die for”… definitely not this one! Compared to the potato salad from a fried chicken spot just 5 minutes away, it’s like night and day 🌙☀️. 🍔 Burgers – For $18 each, I expected more. The buns are house-made and decent, but not amazing enough to make me come back. 📍 Liberty Bar #CapturingTheMoment #SanAntonioEats #RestaurantReview
