San Antonio | Pure Relaxing Food & Leisure 3-Day Trip (Part 1) ๐Ÿ™๏ธ

A totally laid-back vacation where we slept until noon every day โ€” still had a blast! Hereโ€™s a recap of what we ate, drank, and did. - DAY 0 Arrived at the hotel around 3 PM. After checking in, we headed out to find food. Though staying near the River Walk, we werenโ€™t too interested in the overpriced, average-tasting โ€œprettyโ€ riverside meals. ๐Ÿ“ Hola A cozy Spanish restaurant โ€” not busy when we arrived (maybe too early for dinner). Ordered tuna croquettes and the famous paella. Donโ€™t remember much about the tuna, but the paella was absolutely incredible โ€” so flavorful and packed with seafood! It even surpassed my former favorite paella from Topo Gigio in Chicago ๐Ÿฅ˜๐Ÿฆ. ๐Ÿ“ Paciugo Gelato Caffe Stumbled upon this spot while strolling along the River Walk. Chose lime and tiramisu gelato. The lime tasted artificially sour ๐Ÿ˜–, and the tiramisu was way too sweet for me! Since it wasnโ€™t cheap, I painfully finished itโ€ฆ Shouldโ€™ve asked for samples first (not sure if they allow it ๐Ÿ˜…). ๐Ÿ“ Hotel Lobby Bar Booked this hotel partly for its gorgeous lobby! Went down in the evening for drinks. Tried Alamo by Night and Autumn on the River (recommended by the server โ€” such pretty names!). Autumn on the River looked creamy and rich, but the pumpkin sweetness mixed with alcohol tasted odd. Alamo by Night was okay but still pretty strong. As a non-drinker, neither was my favorite โ€” but hey, paid for the vibes! ๐Ÿนโœจ - DAY 1 ๐Ÿ“ La Panaderia Bakery Cafe La Panaderia, youโ€™re famous for a reason! A long line outside โ€” we were starving after waking up at noon but powered through โœŠ. Got the famous lobster roll โ€” at a similar price, it was way better than the ones in San Diego/Laguna (oops, comparing again ๐Ÿ˜‚). Orange juice was fine, and the drink that looked like a matcha latte was delicious (forgot if it actually was one ๐Ÿต). ๐Ÿ“ The Alamo Not much to see, but the weather was lovely. Walked around the area and even scored an F1 Lego blind box thatโ€™s sold out in China! ๐Ÿ˜Ž ๐Ÿ“ NBA Game First NBA game ever โ€” I know nothing about basketball, so I thought it might be boringโ€ฆ but it was actually super fun! ๐Ÿ€ Before halftime, we grabbed chicken tacos โ€” not bad but messy to eat without utensils, so we left a lot. The atmosphere was unreal โ€” people kept standing up suddenly, and one section had a cheering squad of hardcore fans. The game was intense, with the score staying close โ€” and we even saw Yang Hansen score a free throw ๐Ÿคฃ. #SanAntonio ๐ŸŒฎ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ€
