San Antonio | River Walk Travel Guide ๐
San Antonio is truly one of Texasโ most unique cities, and its crown jewel is undoubtedly the River Walk ๐. Often called the "Venice of America" or compared to ancient water towns like Xitang and Wuzhen, itโs a place many never want to leave! Having played tour guide here multiple times, Iโve gathered some tips to share ๐. ๐ถโโ๏ธ Walking Route: The loop trail along the river is my top recommendation. It takes less than 40 minutes to complete ๐, is not too tiring, and offers the most beautiful views ๐ฟ. Donโt miss Casa Rio โ the oldest restaurant on the River Walk ๐ฝ๏ธ. The area with colorful umbrellas is also super Instagram-worthy ๐ธ! ๐ถ Boat Tours: Go Rio originally offered both boat tours and a water shuttle (which used to go to the Pearl Brewery ๐ป). While the shuttle is currently suspended, the boat tour is still running with three boarding points ๐ค. ๐ฎ Food & Drinks: There are plenty of dining options along the river โ Mexican cuisine, BBQ, and more ๐ฅฉ. โ ๏ธ Expect waits of 1+ hours without reservations! Try dining during off-peak hours. Heads-up: donโt expect mind-blowing food here โ youโre really paying for the atmosphere ๐ . I tried The Republic of Texas โ reviews are mixed, but their ribs were decent. ๐ When in doubt, go for BBQ โ I can confidently say itโs hard to find bad barbecue in Texas! ๐ #WeekendGetaway #Texas #TravelUSA #SanAntonio #RiverWalk #FoodieGuide #AustinLife
