San Antonio | Vietnamese Banh Mi & Bubble Tea 🇻🇳🥪🧋
This spot is like a Vietnamese fusion of Subway and Chipotle! Overall – highly recommended 👏. The only downside is it’s a bit far from me, otherwise I’d come here all the time. ✨ Bánh Mì (Vietnamese Sandwich) – ✅ Recommended! We chose the triple-meat combo with classic sweet & sour pickled daikon and carrots (a bit thick-cut but still tasty), cilantro, cucumber, and a special pâté sauce made with chicken liver and herbs. This one even had pig ear – which I’ve loved since first trying it in a sandwich. Hard to find in SA – this might be the only place! Personally better than SP Cafe’s bánh mì, though the vibe and drinks here are less lively. The dining area was pretty quiet – mostly takeout orders. ✨ Spring Rolls (Gỏi Cuốn) – ❌ Shrimp version not recommended. The shrimp was a bit fishy 🦐😬. The rolls come with vermicelli, lettuce, radish, and cucumber – pretty standard. They also have a beef version – will try that next time! The dipping sauce was delicious though – worth reordering just for that! ✨ Rice Bowl (Cơm Tấm Style) – ✅ Recommended! Hearty, flavorful, and still tasty even when cold. Includes: pickled radish & carrot, crispy cucumber, fried scallions, lettuce, and beef. Light, fresh, and feels healthy – no heavy carb overload. Perfect for picnics! 🍱🌳 ✨ Bubble Tea – 🧋 Sadly, not great. We ordered two drinks: Thai Tea: Too light and weak ☹️ Peach Green Tea: Even lighter… almost no flavor. Not even close to SP Cafe’s tea game. 📍 DR. Bánh Mì Perfect if you’re near Alamo Ranch – and right next to Daiso (no long lines now!). 🛍️ #SanAntonioEats #BanhMi #VietnameseFood #BubbleTea #FoodReview #AlamoRanch #TexasEats
