San Antonio | Your Next Mexican Escape… Is in Texas! 🌵🇲🇽

We went to San Antonio to buy a cowboy hat (ended up being too expensive 😅), but along the way discovered The Alamo – a historic site with a serene courtyard and rich stories. Definitely worth a stop! The nearby streets are super chill – lined with riverside cafes, craft beer spots, flower stands, and shopping areas. 🍻🌼 Also noticed lots of mystical shops 🔮 offering tarot, witchcraft, and spiritual readings! Maybe it’s the proximity to Mexico, but even in September, the Día de los Muertos vibe was strong 💀🎭, along with super fun Halloween decorations! 🍖 Food Highlights 2AM Texas BBQ – A local insider pick! Super tender meat, but they close at 4 PM. This platter cost around $140 💸. La Gloria – Lively Mexican spot with great drinks, a DJ, and delicious (but sweet!) tres leches cake 🍰. J‘s Eatery – A soul food joint that felt surprisingly familiar to Chinese tastes! Loved the steak, and dishes like okra and seasoned rice were total comfort food 🍚🥘.
