San Antonio | Your Next Mexican Escapeโฆ Is in Texas! ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฝ
We went to San Antonio to buy a cowboy hat (ended up being too expensive ๐ ), but along the way discovered The Alamo โ a historic site with a serene courtyard and rich stories. Definitely worth a stop! The nearby streets are super chill โ lined with riverside cafes, craft beer spots, flower stands, and shopping areas. ๐ป๐ผ Also noticed lots of mystical shops ๐ฎ offering tarot, witchcraft, and spiritual readings! Maybe itโs the proximity to Mexico, but even in September, the Dรญa de los Muertos vibe was strong ๐๐ญ, along with super fun Halloween decorations! ๐ Food Highlights 2AM Texas BBQ โ A local insider pick! Super tender meat, but they close at 4 PM. This platter cost around $140 ๐ธ. La Gloria โ Lively Mexican spot with great drinks, a DJ, and delicious (but sweet!) tres leches cake ๐ฐ. Jโs Eatery โ A soul food joint that felt surprisingly familiar to Chinese tastes! Loved the steak, and dishes like okra and seasoned rice were total comfort food ๐๐ฅ. A bit salty, but deeply satisfying. #SanAntonioEats #TexMexVibes #Alamo #ComfortFood #TravelDiaires
