San Antonio – What I Ate Spending $70 a Day
Day 1️⃣ Sichuan House ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ordered via DoorDash: Feng Cha ($33) Sichuan House ($42) The delivery spicy chicken and dry-fried green beans were unexpectedly amazing — so flavorful! 🍗🌶️ Day 2️⃣ 🥣 Rise Up Acai ($17) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Got the Kale Yeah bowl 🥬🍓. After a month back in China, this fresh fruit bowl tasted so refreshing! Added collagen, peanut butter, and goji berries — delicious and healthy 💪✨. 🥣 Boudro’s ⭐️⭐️ ($62 per person) A restaurant I saw everywhere on Xiaohongshu… but the coconut shrimp was a letdown 🍤😬. The shrimp wasn’t cleaned well and tasted like soap — couldn’t eat it. The Gulf Coast Seacake was better and more suited to a Chinese palate. Day 3️⃣ Sichuan House ($40 per person) Went back again! In this food desert, it’s honestly one of the tastiest options 🏜️😋. Ordered: fish-fragrant eggplant, dry pot, Sichuan cold noodles, and mapo tofu — all awesome! The dry pot was a bit salty but great with rice 🍚🔥. 🍨 Hanamaru Cafe ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ($27) The matcha flavor here is incredible! Even better than Somi Somi’s matcha 🍵💚. If you like peanut butter, try their peanut-filled taiyaki — so good! Day 4️⃣ Hook & Reel Cajun Seafood ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ($50) The crawfish in seasonal garlic butter wasn’t very flavorful — maybe because the shells were too hard 🦞. The scallops were tastier. The clam chowder was nice, but the potato balls were just okay 🥣🍤. #SanAntonio #Texas #SanAntonioFood
