San Antonio 4-Day 3-Night Road Trip | Aug 2025

Day 1 Drove to San Antonio and checked in at Hyatt Regency Riverwalk. 🏨 Dinner at the hotel’s Q Kitchen – pretty decent! 😋 The hotel was okay, but soundproofing was poor—could hear late-night parties downstairs. 😤 Service and restaurant were good though. Even on a weekend, it wasn’t too crowded. Enjoyed a chill evening at the hotel bar. 🍹 Day 2 Strolled along the Riverwalk – so relaxing! 🌳 Dinner at Toro Kitchen + Bar – had to walk a long way due to roadwork. 🚧 We had a reservation, but the place was almost empty. Worst meal of the trip – cocktails were overly sweet, and everything was too salty. 🚫 Avoid! After dinner, took the Go Rio Cruise – highlight of the day! 🚤 Enjoyed the breeze and the captain’s hilarious commentary. 😄 Day 3 Brunch at Domingo Restaurant – right by the Riverwalk, just a few minutes’ walk. Food and service were great! 🥑 Then visited the Briscoe Western Art Museum – small but elegant and well-organized. Definitely worth a visit! 🖼️ Next, headed to The Alamo – free entry but requires a QR code reservation. 🏛️ Pretty crowded but interesting. Explored the surrounding historic buildings before returning to the Riverwalk for dinner at Boudro’s on the Riverwalk – BEST meal of the trip! 🌟 Their table-side guacamole is a must-try, and every entrée was delicious. Highly recommend! 👍 Day 4 Headed back home 🚗 Stopped by The Shops at La Cantera – an open-air mall – and grabbed a coffee at Capital One Cafe. ☕ Then, home sweet home! 🏡 In a nutshell Road trips are tiring, but the weather was nice and the city felt welcoming. 🌤️ Sticking to the Riverwalk area is enough – not much else to do. Bye for now, San Antonio! 👋😊 #SanAntonio #TravelDiaries #TravelGuide #SATX #SummerTrip
