San Antonio Food Review | Domingo Restaurant ๐ฝ๏ธ๐
They say San Antonio is like a mini Spain + Venice. My friend joked: "This would be pretty basic back home, but in the U.S., it feels rare. Americans really donโt eat well enough." ๐ We picked this highly-rated spot along the River Walk โ lots of reviews, high score. But even with many empty tables, they told us: "At least a 30-minute wait." ๐ฆ We were like: "But... itโs empty?" Server: "No, we have to make sure everyone receives good service." Wellโฆ the "good service" mostly meant someone coming over every few minutes to ask, "Is everything delicious?" ๐ What could I say? "No?" Would that make my meal free? ๐ธ ๐ Chicken Fried Chicken Every side listed on the menu was there, but except for the potatoes, each portion was tiny. The potatoes were buried in extremely heavy cream sauce โ so rich it felt overwhelming. I had to rescue the fried chicken from drowning in that creamy swamp. ๐โโ๏ธ โ The only plus: The ambiance was lovely. Felt like I was slowly mastering the art of being bougie. ๐ ๐ Domingo Restaurant 123 N St Mary's St, San Antonio, TX 78205 (Itโs under the Canopy Hotel โ hidden, need to take the hotel elevator down) #DomingoRestaurant #SanAntonioEats #RiverWalkDining #Overhyped #HonestReview
