San Diego | LEILA

The day has finally come for our visit to Leila, the restaurant I booked half a month in advance! ✨ I've been seeing this place all over Instagram and was so looking forward to trying it. Walking into the restaurant, I was immediately captivated by its unique decor. 🧞‍♂️ Having just finished a fantasy-themed TV drama recently, I was particularly drawn to this kind of exotic atmosphere. The ambiance here truly makes you feel like you've been instantly transported to Arabia, with its colorful glass lamps and intricate decorations—the vibe is absolutely perfect! 💫 We ordered their signature naan and pita bread, served with several of their specially crafted dips. 🤤 Let me tell you, this combination is absolutely incredible! The bread itself has a wonderful wheat aroma and a lovely, chewy texture. Dipping it into those indescribably delicious sauces was a burst of satisfaction in every bite. The kids loved it too and enjoyed it so much that we ended up ordering an extra portion of bread! 🫓 The other dishes were equally outstanding: Middle Eastern-style Falafel (Vegetarian "Meatballs"): Crispy and golden on the outside, yet remarkably soft and tender on the inside. A very unique texture! Braised Lamb Shank: With just a gentle nudge of the fork, the meat "duanged" right off the bone! 🍗 It was so tender and flavorful, without any gamey taste. Beef Kebab: The aromatic beef, wrapped in bread with their sauces, was incredibly rich and savory. Crispy Rice (Tahdig): This was my first time trying it, and the crispy rice crust at the bottom was wonderfully fragrant and crunchy. Who knew Middle Eastern rice could be this delicious! 🍚 It was truly a delightful dining experience, and every dish left a deep impression on our whole family. If you enjoy trying different cuisines, Leila is definitely worth a visit! ❤️ Restaurant Info: Leila Address: 3956 30th St, San Diego, CA 92104 (Heads up: They only have street parking available.)
