📍 Oscar’s Mexican Seafood This is one of my absolute favorite hidden gems for seafood tacos in San Diego! 😍 Their original location is near Ocean Beach – I don’t go there often, but I’ve definitely taken detours just for their incredible octopus tacos. Surprise! They’ve opened a new branch in Hillcrest 🎉, and the new storefront looks much more spacious and modern. But be prepared – it’s still super popular! Even after ordering, we waited at least 30 minutes for our food ⏳. 🦑 Must-try: Octopus Taco The BEST I’ve ever had! We each ordered one – the portions are generous, and you get tender octopus in every bite. Grilled to perfection with a slightly charred flavor… absolutely divine! 🔥 🌮 Taco Especial Another signature dish – packed with fish and shrimp! I didn’t look too closely, but I’m pretty sure the fish is mackerel 🐟, which has a stronger, meatier flavor. I loved it! 🐟 Yellowtail Fish Taco This is a recent special – only $3.99! 😱 It comes with several thick, juicy pieces of grilled fish. So tender, fresh, and flavorful. Unbeatable value! 🌯 Torta I’ve also tried their torta before – a massive sandwich on a bread roll (like Subway-style 🥖). The filling is overflowing, and when you’re hungry, it’s pure satisfaction.
