San Diego Food Exploration: Blue Water Seafood Market 📍

Today, I finally checked off the seafood restaurant on my San Diego wishlist—Blue Water Seafood Market! 🦞 Arrived at 6:23 PM, and there was already a long line outside. After waiting quite a while, we finally got to order at 7:10 PM~ 😅 The process here is quite unique: line up, order and pay at the counter, then wait for your food to be served. However, there was a slight disappointment—the scallops and oysters I wanted most were already sold out 😢 So, I recommend coming earlier or having backup dishes in mind! 🍣 Sashimi Combo (Salmon + Ahi Tuna) $17.5 This might be the most affordable sashimi I’ve had at this quality! The fish was fresh and thick, and the rice had a subtle milky aroma, almost as if cooked with milk—a unique texture~ 👍 🦑 Fried Calamari $15 This dish felt more like “indulging in the joy of fried food”~ The squid flavor wasn’t very pronounced, and I could almost mistake it for fried chicken, haha! But the crispy texture kept me reaching for more. 🍤 🐚 Sautéed Mussels and Clams $23 The seafood was cleaned extremely well, with no sand at all! Served with a large plate of rice, salad, and bread, it was a true “carb-loaded feast”~ Perfect for those who love their carbs! 🥖 🌮 Track Taco $9.5 & Octopus Taco $7 These might be the most “generous” tacos I’ve ever seen! Stuffed with so much shrimp and octopus that I could barely wrap my mouth around them—each taco had about six large pieces of seafood. It’s the first time I’ve ever “complained” about too much meat in a meal~ 😂 🌟 Overall Review: Fresh ingredients, friendly prices, and generous portions! While it wasn’t mind-blowing, there were definitely no disappointments. I’d give it an 8/10~ 💯 Most importantly, among non-fast-food restaurants in the U.S., this is the only place where I could get completely full for just $50—truly rare! 💰 🍨 Unexpected Surprise: Bobboi Gelato On the way back, I stumbled upon Bobboi, San Diego’s top-rated gelato shop!
