🌊 San Diego Museum of Contemporary Art (MCASD)🎨🥾

My spring break trip was full of surprises, and my favorite part? Definitely the MCASD + La Jolla coastal walk! TL;DR: San Diego is totally worth a visit. After the museum, just walk straight along the coastline – you won’t regret it 🌊❤️. I took this shot from the second-floor terrace of the museum – the views of the ocean and sky are stunning 📸✨. Perfect sightlines and super photogenic! Inside, you’ll find fascinating paintings and installations 🖼️, plus some quiet, thoughtfully designed spaces. It was crowded, but everyone was calm and respectful 🧘‍♀️. Security was present but unobtrusive. Great for a relaxing weekend recharge! If you get tired, there’s a calm room where you can rest. You can see the whole museum in about an hour if you move quickly ⏳. Afterwards, I did the La Jolla Beach trail – a total of 2.63 miles, taking about 1 hour 🗺️👟. It’s easy and perfect for beginners. Highly recommend! If you’re hiking the La Jolla trails, this museum is a perfect pit stop. It’s also right near where UCSD’s oceanography team does research – bright, beautiful, and facing the ocean 🌊🏢. You’ll find it near the end of the trail marked 🧭 Other Places I Visited: Torrey Pines Beach 🏖️ – Another great hike! Check if it rained recently – some dirt trails close when it’s muddy. Balboa Park 🏛️ – So many museums! Plan to spend at least half a day here. UCSD Campus 🎓 – Really worth exploring. Westfield UTC 🛍️ – Great for shopping and hanging out. SeaWorld San Diego 🐋 – Pro tip: Double-check ticket prices! Don’t end up like me and my friend who accidentally paid $100 per ticket 😅💸. #SanDiego #MCASD #LaJolla #ContemporaryArt #HikingTrails #CaliforniaCoast #SpringBreak #TravelTips #MuseumDay
