Sanjusangendo πΏ
Sanjusangendo gets its name from the 33 halls separated by 34 pillars inside the main hall. π’π In the center of the hall stands a huge wooden statue of the 11-faced, thousand-armed, thousand-eyed Kannon. On either side are 500 golden standing statues of Kannon. Behind the main Buddha and at both ends of the corridor, there are 28 standing statues of gods, including the gods of wind and thunder, as if guarding this sacred place. πΈπ It's incredibly impressive. Here, time seems to stand still, and the mind becomes incredibly calm. π’π Light a prayer lamp inside the hall to carry your wishes. Toyokuni Shrine πΏ πΈπ The ancient building "Tang Gate" here is built in the style of Chinese architecture. π’π Although not as colorful as the ones in Nijo Castle and Nishi Honganji, it is elegant and steady. Gojo Bridge πΏ πΈπ This is the scene that appeared in the Conan movie "Maze of the Crossroads." For Conan fans, it's a must-visit spot. #NijoCastle πΏ#Sanjusangendo πΏππ
