SAV Food Hunt | Asian Restaurant Takeout Collection 🍜

SAV Food Hunt | Asian Restaurant Takeout Collection 🍜 I’ve been cramming for my thesis lately, with zero time to cook, so I’ve been surviving on takeout 😂! Combining these with some I ordered with friends before, I put together this Savannah Asian restaurant takeout guide to help you avoid pitfalls and find gems. Besides the previously recommended coco moss, sushi hana, flying monk, and those famous Chinese restaurants, I tried some new spots—check it out! ✨✨✨✨ ⭐️ Thai Food Recommendations: Le Banh An Asian restaurant in downtown—you can blindly order and rarely go wrong, a takeout lifesaver! 💯 Highly recommend Curry Chicken + bread; the curry is rich and creamy with a hint of spiciness and coconut flavor. Tear off pieces of bread to dip, and it’s delicious enough to lick your fingers. Fresh Spring Roll is refreshing, with veggies and shrimp wrapped in rice paper, perfect with sweet-sour sauce. Their thai tea is just the right sweetness, rich and creamy—one sip and you’re instantly recharged ✨ The king & I A Southeast Asian spot raved about in my neighborhood group—I had to try it, and it didn’t disappoint! 👍 Except the sauce for Summer Rolls is a bit too sweet, everything else is great. The standout is Thai Sweet Rice with Champagne Mangos—the mango is juicy sweet, and the sticky rice is coconut-infused. Hands down the best version I’ve had in Savannah, no contest! 🥭 Pj Thai Cuisine Their Boat Noodle Soup is decent, portioned just right for one person. But the beef is coated in starch, lacking the authentic meaty texture, a small letdown 😐. However, Thai Tea and Mango Sticky Rice are total misses! The boba in the tea is undercooked, hard in the middle; the sticky rice is even underdone—majorly disappointing 🙅‍♀️ ✨✨✨✨ ⭐️ Japanese Restaurant Recommendations: Tin Drum Asian Kitchen and Boba Tea Bar If you crave chicken wings but hate greasy fried ones, their Japanese-style grilled wings are perfect! 🍗 The Sesame flavor comes with a lime wedge—squeeze it for a zesty, non-greasy bite. Teriyaki is classic sweet-savory, with rich sauce that’s great with rice. But the boba tea is a scam: it’s “buy one get one free,” but tastes like one cup diluted into two, and they forgot the boba! 💣 Kobe Hibachi Grill & Sushi Their sushi is delicious enough to stock up on, and the best value for takeout sushi! 💰 They even have Eel Nigiri—plump, juicy eel with sweet unagi sauce. Only downside: it arrives a bit cold; reheating makes it better. 🍣 Shrimp Tempura and American Dream sushi are awesome, with crispy fried shrimp inside—who doesn’t love that high-calorie joy! yyds! Asian River A spot I frequented with friends when I first enrolled, but it feels like it’s gone downhill 😮‍💨… The milk tea is still good, smooth and not cloying, but the sushi rice and fillings don’t blend at all—disappointing. Hope they step up their game! ✨✨✨✨ That's all~ I’ll be cooking at home again next week. Even if takeout is tasty, my wallet can’t keep up 😂. Remember to eat well, everyone~ 💕 #InternationalStudentFood#MyFoodDiary#FoodHunt#Savannah#SavannahFood
