Savannah 5-Day & 4-Night Trave

Savannah 5-Day & 4-Night Travel Summary šŸ“ Transportation: Savannah’s tourist area is small and easy to navigate—you can get around entirely on foot, no need for a car šŸš¶ā™€ļø. Most parking is valet or street parking; there are few public garages, with a minimum of $20 per day. Some surface lots start at $20 for 2 hours, which isn’t great value. We drove there but barely used the car except for one night when we went out of the tourist area for Cajun foodļ½ž Accommodation: We stayed at Double Tree, roughly at the far left of the red zone—pretty much the western edge of the tourist area. It’s convenient for the riverfront but a bit far from spots like Forsyth Park and the cathedral šŸš¶ā™‚ļø. The best areas to stay are probably the border of the yellow and green zones, or right on the river for great views šŸŒŠļ½ž Food: Eateries are scattered everywhere, mostly serving Southern food—especially shrimp, which you’ll find at most restaurants 🦐. āļø Recommended Restaurants The Olde Pink House: A classic must-try, with great ambiance and food Toast!: Their grits without cheese are amazing—first time I’ve had such good grits Collins Quarter (Forsyth Park location): Chia pudding and shrimp & grits are both good Juicy Seafood: A must for seafood lovers šŸ”µ Decent Options Sushi Hana: Solid sushi Sushi-Thai Savannah: Fusion of Japanese and Thai dishes, lots of choices ā•ļø Not Recommended YATAI: Way too noisy to enjoy a meal ETang Hot Pot: Personally found the flavor weird Wet Willieā€˜s: Tried the piƱa colada, took one sip and dumped it—total letdown šŸ’£ Activities: We took it super easy with no intense itineraries—just wandered and explored wherever we ended up. If you’re doing a ā€œspecial forcesā€ style trip, you could see everything in less than a week šŸš€. āļø Highly Recommended Forsyth Park: Perfect for strolling and photos—sunshine, lawns, and fountains make great backdrops 🌳 Mead Tasting at Savannah Bee Company: Sweet honey wine, very unique Cat cafĆ©: The cats here are super lively and cute—so comforting 🄹 šŸ”µ Hit or Miss Savannah Queens river cruise: Especially avoid it after sunset—you can barely see anything outside downtown The cathedral: Maybe I’ve visited too many impressive churches, but this one didn’t wow me Also, there are a few homeless people in the downtown area (fewer than the West Coast). What’s different is they’re super polite and helpful—it’s hard to say no to them šŸ˜‚. It took us a bit to get used to. Overall, Savannah is totally worth visiting! Thanksgiving is a slow season—no lines anywhere, and the weather is perfect for walking around. The experience is much better than during peak seasonļ½ž #Travel#savannah#Savannah
